In a statement issued in Jakarta on Saturday, Yassierli said the Ministry of Manpower has established a monitoring and evaluation system as well as a complaint channel to ensure the program’s implementation complies with regulations.
"We do not want internships to become a means of exploitation. Therefore, every participant is required to record their daily activities on the platform, and institutions or companies must provide mentors to guide them," he said.
The ministry also conducted a virtual socialization session for Phase II of the 2025 National Internship Program on Friday, involving ministries, agencies, and local governments. The event aimed to strengthen coordination and ensure all parties are prepared for implementation.
The minister explained that the program was an initiative coordinated directly by President Prabowo Subianto through the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
He called for all stakeholders' full support to ensure smooth implementation and to maximize the benefits for new graduates.
He added that in the first batch, it targeted 20,000 participants and received very positive feedback. Now for the second, the government has increased the target to more than 80,000 participants to ensure equal access to quality internship opportunities across all provinces.
"The enthusiasm among graduates is tremendous. We hope the quota for the second batch will be fully utilized so that its benefits can be felt nationwide," he said.
In the second batch, internship organizers will include not only companies but also ministries and central government agencies, providing broader and more diverse opportunities for participants to choose their internship locations.
The program will run for six months. The participants will receive a monthly allowance equivalent to the local minimum wage, BPJS Employment protection covering work accident (JKK) and death (JKM) insurance, and a certificate.
Registration for the National Internship Program can be done through the SIAPKerja account and accessed via maganghub.kemnaker.go.id.
