Speaking at the launch of a book highlighting Indonesia's participation at Expo 2025 in Jakarta on Wednesday, PPN Minister Rachmat Pambudy said the Indonesia Pavilion attracted more than 3.5 million visitors, surpassing the initial target of 2.8 million.
Indonesia also secured US$28.3 billion in investment commitments through 104 business sessions, resulting in 20 memorandums of understanding, nine letters of intent, two joint venture agreements, one joint statement, and 11 tourism package deals, he said.
Pambudy said the outcomes reflected coordinated efforts across government institutions and the private sector.
"I would like to convey my deepest gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto because without his directives and instructions, we would not be able to make Indonesia's participation a success," he said.
Throughout the expo, held from April 13 to October 13, Indonesia organized 234 activities, including exhibitions and cultural performances, involving ministries, state institutions, regional governments, and business entities.
The Indonesia Pavilion showcased the country's natural resources and cultural diversity through a design developed by Didit Hendiprasetyo, presenting Indonesia's development vision and global engagement.
PPN Deputy Minister Febrian Alphyanto Ruddyard said Indonesia's presence at the Osaka Expo went beyond exhibition, positioning the country as an active contributor to global discussions.
"Indonesia is not merely following global dynamics, but offering ideas, promoting values, and presenting solutions toward a more balanced and sustainable future," he said.
He added that the pavilion successfully engaged visitors emotionally and intellectually, strengthening Indonesia's economic and cultural diplomacy during the expo.
