"The president truly expects all of us to work much faster, especially in sectors that focus on job creation and are labor-intensive," State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi told the press in the Hambalang area.
For example, the president called for acceleration in the development of the Red and White Fishing Villages and the fishing vessel construction program.
"He wants these programs to be accelerated because they are not only labor-intensive but will also boost our protein production from the fisheries sector, allowing us to increase our citizens' protein intake," Hadi remarked.
During the briefing, ministers presented their achievements as well as strategic program evaluation and future acceleration plans.
He underscored that food self-sufficiency is one of the programs successfully realized during the first year of Prabowo Subianto's administration, marked by zero rice imports in 2025, with the goal to maintain and further strengthen this achievement in 2026.
Additionally, the briefing covered energy self-sufficiency, including oil lifting achievements that exceeded the 2025 State Budget targets and accelerated efforts to further increase production.
The minister added that the briefing reviewed the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, which has reached 55 million beneficiaries out of the target of 82.9 million, and the tuition-free school program, Sekolah Rakyat, which is currently operating in 166 locations.
A plan is in place to add approximately 104 more Sekolah Rakyat sites in 2026, alongside efforts to accelerate the development of both physical and non-physical infrastructure.
Furthermore, the briefing also covered disaster management, specifically the acceleration of rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in three disaster-affected provinces in Sumatra–Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
