The production estimates from contractors until May 30, 2011 are far below the government`s target of 950,000 to 970,000 barrels a day in 2010.
The estimates are also below BP Migas`s target of between 930,000 and 950,000 barrels a day.
Based on the data, PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia estimates its production to reach 326,900 barrels a day, PT Petamina EP 134,000,, Total Indonesie E&P 75,000 and ConocoPhillips Block B (Natuna) 40,800 barrels a day.
CNOOC SES meanwhile projects its production will reach 36,700 barrels a day, Chevron Indonesia Company 28,300, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) 35,000 and Medco Sumatra 22,960 barrels a day.
The production of BOB Pertamina-Bumi Siak Pusako meanwhile is estimated at 15,160 barrels a day, Petrochina International 17,300, Mobil Cepu Ltd. 18,800, Vico (Sanga-sanga) 15,000 and PHE West Madura Offshore 20,300 barrels a day.
With the addition of production from other contractors of 95,920 barrels a day the production estimate for 2012 will be 882,140 barrels a day.
BP Migas meanwhile expects production to reach 950,000 barrels per day with PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia contributing 357,000, PT Pertamina EP 135,000, Total Indonesie E&P 86,000, ConocoPhillips Block B (Natuna) 45,000, CNOOC SES 38,000, Chevron Indonesia Company 38,000, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) 35,000 and Medco Sumatra 22,960, BOB Pertamina-Bumi Siak Pusako 17,000, Petrochina International 17,300, Mobil Cepu Ltd. 22,000, Vico (Sanga-sanga) 15,000 and PHE West Madura Offshore 23,000 barrels a day.
With production from other contractors being added totalling 108,440 barrels a day BP Migas estimates production in 2012 will reach 950,000 barrels a day.
BP Migas planning deputy Haposan Napitupulu said the estimates for 2012 from contractors are indeed at 882,140 barrels a day.
However he said that he had asked contractors to achieve production of up to 930,000 to 950,000 barrels a day.
He said BP Migas would take various efforts to achieve the number by settling external problems such as about land acquisition and rig procurement.
"We are predicting maximally it could reach 950,000 barrels a day," he said.
