Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - At least 107 mining permits in Kotabaru district, South Kalimantan, will be revoked because companies to which they belong are not activate.

"The government is taking stock of mining companies in Kotabaru. We also reported all active or not active mining permits to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources," Head of Mining and Energy Agency Kamurudin said here on Sunday.

He said that the agency only reported the case and the decision whether or not these permits are to be revoked in the hand of the ministry.

At least 114 of mining companies in Kotabaru have mining permits to explore coal deposits.
