Jakarta, Nov 20 (ANTARA News) - State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II has introduced a new notification feature in the Indonesia Airport application.

CEO of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin noted in a statement received here, Tuesday, that the feature displays pop-up and push notifications in smartphones in connection with the latest update on operational situations in airports managed by AP II, such as the maintenance of skytrain facilities, relocation of airlines, and traffic conditions to and from the airport.

"With this new feature in the Indonesia Airports App, we provide greater comfort to airport customers, and it is hoped to increase the level of AP II services to customers," he stated.

Currently, various additional facilities being built at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport include the construction of the eastcross taxiway and the third runway, both of which can have an impact on the movement to and from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, thereby affecting customer convenience.

"It is hoped that the new feature in the Indonesia Airport application would be able to inform customers on information related to the operational activities at the airport, so that they can prepare their arrival schedule around it," he explained.

Other features in the application that can be used by customers include details of their flights and the location of their departure gates.

Customers can also book taxi tickets and find schedules for buses, skytrains, and shuttle buses through the application.

It also allows them to book in-house parking and find the schedule for airport trains to and from the city.
