I also praise the agreement signed by both countries on capacity building for smallholder farmers that is aimed at sustainable palm oil.Bogor (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) commended the Dutch Government on cooperation over sustainable palm oil during a remark after a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Monday.
“In this context, I emphasized Indonesia’s concern over the European Union’s palm oil policy,” President Jokowi pointed out.
Indonesia and the Netherlands had inked an agreement in that sector on Sept 26 in New York, the United States.

“I also praise the agreement, signed by both countries, on capacity building for smallholder farmers that is aimed at ensuring sustainable palm oil,” President Jokowi reiterated.
In terms of investment, President Jokowi called on PM Rutte to intensify multisectoral partnership between the two countries in areas, including infrastructure, maritime, and water management.
Indonesia’s government will, in the subsequent five-year period, prioritize the development of human resources, so that the educational sector, especially vocational schools, remain the most important.
“During our meeting, we also discussed efforts to boost our partnership in the vocational sector, including in maritime and nursing specialization,” President Jokowi added.
