Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry and the Hype Festival initiated a flagship program through a series titled "Wonders" to promote Indonesia's five super-priority destinations: Lake Toba, Likupang, Borobudur, Mandalika, and Labuan Bajo.

Deputy for Tourism Products and Events at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Rizki Handayani Mustafa elaborated that the program was aimed at exploring and capturing the beauty of Indonesia, through the power of audio-visual experiences that beautifully showcase a blend of nature, culture, people, and music.

"As a virtual music event, 'Wonders' has a strong proposition in the minds of its target audience, specifically the Indonesian young generation that enjoys indie music. This event will also be broadcast through the Ministry of Tourism's YouTube and Twitch channels as well as the Hype Festival," Mustafa noted in a statement, Tuesday.

The ministry’s deputy explained that the "Wonders" program was an outdoor activity targeted at reviving the creative industry and nature tourism while adapting to new habits, albeit still being heedful of health protocols.

Mustafa was optimistic of this program not only entertaining but also edifying and inspiring people globally and also promoting superior tourism in Indonesia.

"I am upbeat about this being the first step for art workers to be productive but still safe from COVID-19," Mustafa stated.

Meanwhile, Michael Devant, Hype Festival’s creative strategist, stated that currently, the "Wonders" program was planned to be in the digital realm, wherein all information and content can be enjoyed for free on every screen worldwide.

“With 'Wonders', we want everyone to experience the magic of Indonesia. This program is a way to send across a message of love to Nature, a reminder of our extraordinary Earth, and an invitation for all to cherish, nurture, and protect this miracle for future generations," Devant emphasized.

The Labuan Bajo WONDERS - APSARA episode will air on November 25, 2020, and the WONDERS - NADIN AMIZAH episode on December 3, 2020, exclusively on the IDWONDERS YouTube channel and the Kemenparekraf YouTube channel.
