"The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will form a small team to be led by the Deputy for Destination and Infrastructure Development at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Baparekraf Vinsensius Jemadu to monitor the smooth running of the Labersa Kaldera Resort's development process," Uno noted in an official statement here, Saturday.
Uno inaugurated the Labersa Kaldera Resort's groundbreaking, along with Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister for National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa, and Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas.
The Labersa Kaldera Resort is expected to become a new tourist attraction in the region, be able to increase the number of visits by domestic and foreign tourists to the Lake Toba area, and to offer economic benefits to the surrounding community.
"I am very confident that the target of creating 4.4 million jobs in 2024 can be achieved," he stated.
He advised that the development be conducted in accordance with good planning and an adequate number of workers, so that the construction of this resort can be completed quickly.
After the groundbreaking, the four ministers enjoyed the view of the Lake Toba area from the Labersa Kaldera Resort's construction site. Uno was enthralled by the scenic view of Lake Toba from this location.
"This will later become a world-class resort and waterpark on Lake Toba," he stated.
