On Tuesday, the vice president will open the 18th Asia Media Summit at the Grand Hyatt Bali.
The Asia Media Summit is an annual event for all media broadcasting agencies in Asia Pacific to share their thoughts on broadcasting and information.
Decision makers, media professionals, intellectuals, and news and program stakeholders from Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America will attend the annual conference.
This year, the forum is themed "Media Enhancing Economic Sustainability," wherein Indonesia encourages the role of media, especially in the Asia Pacific, to contribute to a sustainable economy.
Members of the Asia-Pacific Institute of Broadcasting Development (AIBD) will discuss and sharpen the Asia-Pacific media's role in strengthening collaboration with communities, the industrial sector, and governments.
During the summit, the committee will invite the media guests to a micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) exhibition and to visit several tourism sites in Bali, such as the Penglipuran Tourism Village and the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK).
The participants will also be invited to savor Balinese cuisine and shop for local MSME products.
After opening the Asia Media Summit, VP Amin and his entourage are scheduled to return to Jakarta.
