The president made this statement after holding a limited meeting for discussing fuel at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base complex here on Monday ahead of his departure to Australia to attend the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit.
"It won't go up," President Jokowi stated when asked about the possibility of an increase in fuel prices.
The head of state remarked that Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto or the Pertamina Board of Directors would convey specifically the issue of fuel prices.
"The coordinating minister for the economy or Pertamina will convey this fuel (price)," Jokowi stated briefly.
President Jokowi departed for Melbourne, Australia, on Monday morning, to attend the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit on March 4-6, 2024, to celebrate 50 years of ASEAN partnership relations with Australia.
The head of state remarked that this summit was held to commemorate 50 years of the ASEAN-Australia partnership and would discuss how the ASEAN-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership could be optimized in future to create a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
Apart from attending the summit, the president will also hold bilateral meetings with the prime ministers of Australia, New Zealand, and Cambodia.
