"This event will positively impact both the micro and macro levels of Bali's economy," said Bogat Widyatmoko, Deputy for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs at the National Development Planning Ministry (Bappenas), on Sunday.
Approximately 1,275 participants from 26 countries — including government representatives, international organizations, NGOs, the private sector, academics, think tanks, multilateral banks, and philanthropies — are attending the event.
Widyatmoko expects the forum to increase the number of visitors, both domestic and international.
"HLF MSP will drive local economic growth by boosting demand for accommodation, food and beverages, transportation services, and tourism destinations," he added.
The forum aims to foster various multi-stakeholder partnerships that will strengthen Indonesia's economic resources in the future.
As part of the 69th anniversary of the 1955 Asian-African Conference, HLF MSP presents an opportunity for Indonesia to showcase its strategic advancements in the economy, social sectors, and environmental fields, aligning with the Golden Indonesia Vision and the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN).
HLF MSP is expected to serve as a strategic platform for discussing transformative collaborations to address global challenges, including development gaps.
It will bring together both governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to jointly find solutions and take collective action on global issues.
"The network between domestic and global economic actors is expected to facilitate more intensive economic collaboration in the future," Widyatmoko said.
