Israel's actions will also jeopardize the prospects for peace in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on social media, as monitored in Jakarta on Saturday.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) affirmed that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory is illegal and that Israel has no sovereignty over the territory. Therefore, any action taken by Israel cannot alter the legal status of the Palestinian territories, the ministry stated.
Indonesia also urges the UN Security Council and the international community to take concrete steps to stop Israel's illegal actions, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Indonesia continues to consistently provide full support for an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, in line with the Two-State Solution, which must be realized collectively through three main steps.
The first step is the recognition of the Palestinian state by all countries; the second is implementing a cessation of violence and a ceasefire; and the third is ensuring that Palestine's future is determined by the Palestinian people.
Earlier, citing Israeli government sources, the Jerusalem Post newspaper stated that the cabinet meeting is likely to approve a decision to reoccupy Gaza, amid a deadlock in negotiations with the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
The plan is supported by Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu and would involve the deployment of five IDF military divisions.
The military operation is expected to last five months and involve the displacement of approximately one million Palestinians from Gaza City.
