President Prabowo Subianto chaired a late-night limited cabinet meeting at his Hambalang residence in Bogor, West Java, on Monday to review food self-sufficiency programs and ensure adequate food and LPG supplies ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the meeting assessed the government’s progress toward food, energy, and oil self-sufficiency while coordinating preparations to maintain stable supplies during Ramadan and the Eid holiday.
"The strategic meeting focused on two main agendas namely reviewing progress on food, energy, and oil self-sufficiency programs, and ensuring food and LPG availability ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” Teddy said.
The meeting also served as a coordination forum for ministers and senior officials to review national priority programs and anticipate potential supply disruptions during the peak holiday period.
Participants included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, and Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.
Also attending were Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister and National Land Agency Head Nusron Wahid, Higher Education, Science and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.
Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto and Deputy Commander Lieutenant General Tandyo Budi Revita joined the meeting alongside Presidential Staff Office Chief Muhammad Qodari.
Other participants included PT Pindad President Director Sigit P Santosa, Defense Ministry Logistics Agency Head Air Marshal Yusuf Jauhari, and Pertamina Commissioner Hasan Nasbi.
The Presidential Secretariat said the Hambalang meeting underscored the government’s efforts to keep strategic national programs on track while safeguarding food and energy supplies so Indonesians can observe Ramadan and celebrate Eid safely and comfortably.
