Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government strongly condemned the suicide bombing action that happened in Kepunton church, Central Java, on Sunday, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Djoko Suyanto said.

"Whatever the reason behind the bombing, such action cannot be justified," the minister said here on Sunday.

Minister Djoko Suyanto asked the related authorities to quickly investigate and find the mastermind of the bombing incident.

The bomb exploding at the Kepunton church door in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday at about 10.55 AM local time, killed one and injured eight pilgrims.

"The casualty is the suicide bomber himself. Up till now his body has not yet been evacuated from the crime scene while the eight pilgrims are taken to dr Oen Solo hospital," Suharto, security personnel at the church, said.

Police and forensic personnel are still investigating the case at the crime scene.
