Along with those CEOs, President Jokowi walked through the nursery while speaking at length about some aspects related to the nursery and the development progress of the new capital city (IKN) Nusantara in East Kalimantan.
"This is what I always emphasize. We want to develop Kalimantan and IKN with a forest city concept. We start with Mentawir Nursery," he conveyed as noted in a statement issued by the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau.
The head of state then explained that various types of plant seeds in the Mentawir Nursery were prepared to be planted in the IKN area.
"We are preparing it and will plant it later in the new capital city," he stated.

President Director of Kompas Gramedia, Lilik Oetama, who took part in this activity, expressed amazement on visiting the nursery that would produce plant seeds for IKN.
"It is amazing. This is my first time visiting the nursery, and it is really good," he remarked.
Oetama also expressed optimism regarding IKN becoming a new and greener capital city with the support of plant seeds from the Mentawir Nursery.
"Looking at this, I am sure that IKN Nusantara will be greener. I have seen from the plants prepared for the greenery, it will be very good," he stated.
Ad Interim Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Erick Thohir, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority Dhony Rahajoe also accompanied President Jokowi to the Mentawir Nursery.
