General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Wahyudi, noted in a statement here, Thursday, that Qatar Airways had recommenced its flights.
"As of Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 20:30 local time, flights to and from Doha have been operating normally," Wahyudi stated.
Earlier, on Tuesday, June 23, Qatar Airways flight QR 963 from Denpasar to Doha, which was scheduled for 19:20 local time, was canceled.
Wahyudi explained that the cancellation resulted from the temporary closure of Doha International Airport due to force majeure, specifically the global political situation affecting Qatar.
A total of 244 passengers were impacted by the disruption and were assisted the following day through direct data collection by the airline.
During the disruption, airport authorities provided a waiting area for affected passengers in the lobby of the international terminal's second floor, facilitating direct coordination with the airline for rebooking departures.
The reaccommodation process proceeded smoothly and remained conducive until its completion on Wednesday, June 25, with some passengers choosing to reschedule their flights and others opting for alternative carriers.
"Passengers previously affected by the flight cancellation to Doha on June 24, 2025, have been fully attended to by the airline, and we can confirm there is no passenger backlog resulting from the situation," he stated.
With this resolution, flights on the Doha, Qatar route, typically operating thrice daily, have now resumed.
Despite the improved conditions, Wahyudi urged all prospective international passengers at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to verify and coordinate their departure schedules with their respective airlines to ensure a safe and smooth journey.
